Naxian Citrus is classic, sweet citrus blend that features zesty orange and lemon peel top notes open up to a heart of bright, juicy citrus. Agave nectar enhances the natural sweetness of grapefruit, mandarin, and tangerine, while a hint of lime and peach rounds out this tropical, fruity explosion.

MYTHOS
Cronus, youngest of the Titans, came to power by overthrowing his father. A prophecy told him that one day he in turn would be overthrown by his children and so he devoured each of his children soon after they were born, trapping them within him. Zeus, youngest of these children, was taken in secrecy to Naxos as a baby in order to be saved from the fury of his father. Zeus was raised in a cave until he was old enough to contest the leadership of the gods with a campaign against the Titans. An eagle from the peak of island's tallest mountain flew to Zeus and gave him power over thunder and lightening, which prompted him to set out to assume the throne of Olympus and becoming the king of all the gods.
Both the cave that Zeus was said to have been reared in, as well as the island's tallest mountain were named in honor of Zeus. Mount Zeus is the highest peak in the Cyclades, and tends to trap the clouds, permitting greater rainfall. Due to this, or perhaps the blessing that Zeus bestowed upon the island, Naxos is the most fertile of the Cyclades islands.
With its excellent fresh water supply, Naxian agriculture is known for its luscious taste and fine quality, most notably the locally grown citron. Renowned for its acidic and sour, lemon-like taste, Greek citrons can be traced back to Greek antiquity, and to this day are not commonly found growing outside of Naxos.

Each candle comes in a modern recyclable cardboard cylinder that keeps wax dust free when the candle is not in use, and makes each candle ready for gifting.

Burn your candle for one hour the first time you light it to achieve an even burn and prevent future tunneling.
For a clean burn, trim wick before each use.
Ensure candles are on a suitable heat resistant surface when in use. Never leave a lit candle unattended or alone with children or pets, or near flammable items.
Our candle labels are curbside recyclable and are categorized under plastic category 4 LDPE, or low-density polyethylene.
The cardboard tube used to house our candles is curbside recyclable under Cardboard PAP-20.
Our amber glass containers are curbside recyclable under the Mixed Glass category, GL-70.
